Hourly, monthly, yearly

I have cable TV in my room and I was watching a comedy show on True Series today and something made me laugh so much. It was a man talking to a prostitute and asking how much she would charge for sex. She said a hundred dollars. (It is an Australian show, I think). The man asks how much for two hours and she says two hundred dollars. And if he wanted her all night it would be a thousand dollars. If he wanted her for a week it would be five thousand dollars. He is still thinking about it and she carries on talking. She’d stay with him for a month for twenty thousand dollars. And if he wants her to be his girlfriend then that will be fifty thousand dollars. He asks how much would it cost to marry her and she says a hundred thousand dollars with fifty thousand dollars for each child she has. Then he asks her if they can still have sex after she has had their children and she slaps his face and calls him a pervert! I laughed so much. But it did make me think. I will go with a man for an hour for three thousand baht or maybe two thousand baht but I hadn’t thought about how much I would want to spend a whole night with a man. I think I would stay all night for ten thousand baht but really I would not want to spend all night with a farang. And what if he wanted to stay with me for a week? I think I would ask for thirty thousand baht. And for a month, maybe eighty thousand baht. But a year? Can you imagine being paid to stay with a man for a whole year? But in a way, I suppose that’s what marriage usually is, isn’t it? A man takes care of a woman and pays her to stay with him. I think paying for one hour is more fair, really. It rained a lot today and I got wet going home after work. I hope it is not raining again on Saturday because I want to go to Gullivers again.
