Working Girls

Anne phoned me today to ask me if I heard about the English policeman who had been arrested for hiring prostitutes in Bangkok to send to work in England. I said that I hadn’t but she said it was in all the newspapers and she was right. The Thai police have arrested him because he took more than half a million baht from a woman and told her that she would have a job as a waitress in London. His name is Ian Shuttleworth and he used to be a policeman in England. The woman says that once she got to England she was forced to work as a prostitute, which is not good. Anne said that she knew three girls who had gone to England to work as prostitutes but no one had forced them. She said that a lot of girls worked in Singapore which was easier because Thai people do not need visas to go to Singapore but they do need visas to go to England and it is not easy to get a visa.

Anne said she would tell me more on Saturday because she wanted to introduce me to a girl who used to work in London. I am quite excited to meet her but I am not sure if I could work in England. I love Thailand too much. I bought a new dress to wear on Saturday night. It is black and white and I think it is quite sexy. I hope it does not rain. Every day this week it has started raining at about eight o’clock and rained for a long time.

Hello

I would like to commend you on the idea for your blog and the recent addition of advertisements. Being a teacher in Thailand, I can tell you I have never seen a Thai with such near perfect writing ability as yours. This is a great idea for generating income.

I don't think for one minute that you are actually a Thai, but I have to admit, even knowing this, I am intrigued by your blog and have been checking it regularly.

I think you will find an audience of people outside of Thailand, but most native English speakers living in Thailand will dismiss this as a farang trying to make a quick buck.

Good luck

The Google ads that everyone talks about don't make me any money, really. Maybe $1 a day! They are there to help people who want more information about Thailand. xxx
