Singapore

Saturday night was great. I went with Anne to Gullivers and we met Boo there and a girl called Cat who was quite pretty and had very big breasts. She said she had an operation to put silicon in them and it cost more than a hundred thousand baht. That is a lot of money but her breasts did look really good. She had a big tattoo on her back as well which didn’t look so good. Cat said that she normally worked in Singapore and that a lot of Thai girls work there. She said she can earn six hundred Singapore dollars for short time which is fourteen thousand baht! I was so surprised but Cat said that farangs in Singapore had more money than farangs in Bangkok and that there were not many Cheap Charlies. I bought her a Heineken beer and had a long talk with her. Actually I was more interested in talking to her than I was in looking for farangs, which annoyed Anne a bit. After a while she said that she was going to the German Bar with Boo and I said okay because I wanted to stay and talk to Cat.

Cat said that Thai people don’t need visas to go to Singapore, but they are not supposed to work there so you have to lie a bit and say that you are going for a holiday. If you are lucky the immigration officer at the airport will let you stay for a month but usually they say you can stay for two weeks. That’s enough, Cat said, because in two weeks if you are lucky you can earn almost two hundred thousand baht, which is a fortune. I think not many farangs can make two hundred thousand baht in two weeks.

Cat said that most Thai girls work in a place called Orchard Towers which has lots of bars. There are bars with Thai girls, bars with girls from the Philippines and bars with girls from Indonesia. And there are a lot of katoeys who work in Bangkok, they go to Singapore to work, too. Katoeys are ladyboys, and you don’t see them in Gullivers but Cat said you see a lot of them in Orchard Towers.

I asked Cat where she stayed and she said that she stays in a flat with lots of Thai girls. There are usually six or seven or eight sleeping there and they only pay twenty Singapore dollars a night which is not expensive. Cat said that she would take me if I wanted to go because I was very pretty and she was sure I would make good money in Singapore. That was a nice thing to say and I think I might try if I can get my boss to give me time off.

There weren’t too many farangs in Gullivers because it was early so we decided to go and see Anne and Boo in the German Bar. We went through the alley from Soi 5 to Soi 7 and on the way Cat said she wanted to go into the pool bar, the one I had been in before. She knew two of the girls who worked there because they had worked in Singapore before so we went in and said hello to them. The manager knew Cat and he came over and gave her a hug. His name is Ben and he is from France and he is quite cute. He is a bit old but he has a good body and a ponytail. Ben kept joking with me and asking for my phone number but I didn’t give it to him because I don’t think Ben will ever be my customer because he lives in Bangkok and has a lot of pretty girls working for him. While we were drinking with Ben, Anne and Boo walked by and they saw us so they came in for a drink too and then Anne and I went back to Gullivers. I asked Anne about Singapore and she said that it was a good idea but you had to be careful of the police in Singapore. I asked her if she would go with me but she said that she wouldn’t be able to get time off from her bank. That doesn’t matter because Cat said I could go with her.

We went back to Gullivers and there were more farangs there so we got some Cokes and sat by the door and smiled at tourists and I was lucky because in just ten minutes I saw a nice guy called John who said he was in Bangkok for a conference and he didn’t know anyone and I laughed and said that now he knew me. He was staying at the Landmark Hotel, in a suite, and he gave me three thousand baht for less than one hour. Anne didn’t have a customer and I phoned her when I had finished with John because it was only eleven o’clock and she was still in Gullivers so I went back to see her. My plan was to have a drink with her until she got a customer, but that’s not what happened. Two Norwegian men came over to us and started talking to us. They were so funny and spoke very good English even though they were from Norway. The one who liked me was called Eric and he was fat but had really nice blonde hair that was so soft to touch, and his skin was so white, like a baby’s skin. They were staying in the Shangri-La Hotel which is a five-star hotel near the river. All four of us went back to the hotel together and I went to Eric’s room while Anne went with her friend. We stayed for two hours so I got home at three o’clock in the morning and it was only when I got home and counted my money that I realised I had made love to two men I didn’t know in one night and that I had made six thousand baht plus two hundred baht that Eric gave me for my taxi home. Six thousand baht in one night. That is a lot of money, but fourteen thousand baht would be better!
