Wow, I am so tired. I went to Paris with my boss and it was great. Paris is called the City of Lights but I don’t know why because the lights weren’t that wonderful, but the city was so pretty, much more pretty than Bangkok. Actually Bangkok is called the City of Angels even though there are no angels in Bangkok.
Getting to Paris was an adventure because it was hard to get a visa. My boss had already got me the ticket so I thought it would be easy to get a visa but it wasn’t. I called the number of the French Embassy in Bangkok but they said that I had to have an interview but that I couldn’t have an interview until the end of July. I said that my boss wanted me to go on July 6 and they said that didn’t matter, I had to wait for my interview. It made me cry I was so sad. It’s not fair because French people can come to Thailand with no visa so why can’t Thai people go to France without a visa? I cried and I cried even though I was in the office. My boss was very kind and he phoned the Embassy but even though he is American they wouldn’t listen to him either. It’s like French people don’t care. Then my boss had a plan. He said we could ask the Austrian Embassy instead. He said that you can use the same visa for France and Austria and for lots of other countries. I called the Austrian Embassy and you know what, they gave me a visa the very next day. I couldn’t believe it. I told the Austrian Embassy that I was planning to visit Austria even though that wasn’t really true but they didn’t even ask to see my ticket. They gave me the visa which is valid for six months and which lets me go to almost every country in Europe, but not England or Ireland.
We flew on Thai Airways. My boss went business class and I went in economy which was fair because he was paying. Actually economy was quite good and I was sitting next to a girl from Udon Thani who was going to work as a chef in a Thai restaurant in Nice. She said she was getting a salary of two thousand Euros a month which is more than one hundred thousand baht a month. That is a fortune. She said her mum taught her to cook and that it is a hard job but she was happy to do it.
I was only in Paris for four days and it was hard work but I did get some time to go out and I went up the Eiffel Tower which was amazing and went on a boat down the river. It rained a bit which wasn’t so good but the city was so beautiful that I didn’t care. The fashion show went really well and I met a designer from a French company who said that I could send him my designs and he would look at them so maybe one day I will have my dream and be a designer in Paris. I enjoy working for my boss but what I really want to do is to be a designer.
Now I am back in Bangkok and so tired that I do not think I will go out tonight even though I want to go and earn some money. Maybe I will go to Gullivers on Sunday night. Now I am not scared to go to Gullivers on my own because I know many girls there. I keep thinking about the girl I met on the plane. Her name is Oy. Oy is earning a hundred thousand baht a month which is more than three thousand baht a day. She has to work for one day to get the same amount of money that I get for going with a farang for an hour or two. I am not sure who has the harder job. Oy said that she enjoyed her job and sometimes I do to. But one thing is for sure, I could not go to Gullivers every day!

I think you have easier job darling! Who wants to work all day? Better to have fun and get paid for doing so. ;)
Cyclone and bggib are the same person. Nonetheless it is a good read. Keep up the good work farang.
Welcome back home TS!
Remember your seatmate can make 100k baht per month but the cost of living is also higher as well. If she wants to do fun stuff in Nice then she will be saving less. It's all relative that way. Also taxes on 2000 Euro per month will take 600 - 700 Euros.
So what's the going rate for ST & LT in the City of Lights?
-Mike
keep on the good work and keep on blogging,i love all about you.
Stefan from sweden love your blogg.
This is like a Thai girl's dream. From prostitute to designer in France. Is that the fairy tale? I really don't know if this is fake but it is a cute read. Maybe a practicing writer. Maybe it is partly true with embellishment on certain parts. Who knows, but Paris isn't that beautiful, though there are some nice older buildings, it is a pretty grimy city. Most girls are just excited by the idea of it; the fake reputation of glamor. But if you are real at least you have seen some of the world.
Glad you're back online after all. I thought you had quit. U must be horny as hell after 2 weeks abstinence or did u have some French guy over there?
You are wrong if you think I am Cyclone. I do not look like David Beckham.
I hope there is some way that Cyclone can prove to you that he is real!
"...I hope there is some way that Cyclone can prove to you that he is real!...."
Haha..that is soooo IRONIC considering you cant do anything to prove to your readers that YOU are real.
Sorry I'm not TS, and don't have the creativity to write such a blog. Simply just an avid reader as everyone else, a working expat in Thailand. :)
Keep up the good work TS, and I'll have look for you next time I'm in Bangkok.
Yeah, how about a picture with your face photo-shopped out. I think that would put most of the speculation to rest. Like othe readers, I enjoy this blog too - Farang or otherwise.
Keep blogging TS and consider a photo with you holding up a hand written, or typed, note that reads "I am Top Secret the Blogger"
TS,
HI!!! I did not know you posted a new entry on your blog... I was so surprised. I'm happy you are safe and sound!!
While you were away, I thought you might have taken a trip with Cat to Singapore. I'm glad you did not do that, since it's very risky to travel with someone you don't know to another country.
Did you have a chance to take pictures in Paris? If so, I hope you post them, blocking any faces to protect the innocent.
I hope now that you are back, that you post more regularly. I really enjoy your blog.
Hope all is well...
Louie
Amazing TS, got a visa so quickly? I think she should start a new business for other thai people and show them how its done. lol
So lets get this right Topsecret, you get a visa for Austria, but you enter France on the visa from the airport?
I have a question for you what typr of visa was it i.e. the name?
If you think that 100,000baht is alot of money living in Europe then you are gravely mistaken. How much does your aprtment cost a month? Now ask what is the cost of a chea aparment in Paris or London. If you share your half will probably be 30-40K a month. That does not inculde bill such as water electricity or gas or council tax. Then there is food costs, that Som Tam you buy for say 20baht will be 200baht thats if you can get it.
I wish you luck but I think u r dreaming/lieing to much
The Schengen Visa has made traveling between its 15 European member countries much easier and less bureaucratic. Traveling on a Schengen Visa means that the visa holder can travel to any (or all) member countries using one single visa, thus avoiding the hassle and expense of obtaining individual visas for each country. This is particularly beneficial for persons who wish to visit several European countries on the same trip. The Schengen visa is a “visitor visa”. It is issued to citizens of countries who are required to obtain a visa before entering Europe.
The purpose of the visit must be leisure, tourism, or business. Upon the issuance of the visa, the visa holder is allowed to enter all member countries and travel freely throughout the Schengen area. It is strongly recommended to plan your journey within the timeframe of the Schengen Visa as extensions can be very difficult to obtain, thus forcing you to leave to stay in compliance with the Schengen rules and regulations. A Schengen visa allows the holder to travel freely within the Schengen countries for a maximum stay of up to 90 days in a 6 month period. The first step in the application process is to download the Schengen Application Guide. The application guide is available in 3 languages: English, Spanish and Chinese.
Ahh the power of google is at work. ;)
Yes, Google is really useful. I thought it would help explain what the visa is that I got because some people do not think it is possible to get a visa for the whole of Europe but it is. xxx

not around anymore it seems like, too bad, I read some of your blog and if you are for real, with English this good I will offer you an interview. I run a company in Thailand and have been searching for a Thai with excellent English. Lets see 15k at work, 4k 4 times a month for a handy. total 31k. If your Thai, I am not messing with more work permits, and can speak English as well as you write I will offer you 45k a month and you can still do whatever you like on the weekends.
i cant say its a bad thing to do for such lady as long as she's happy for that and enjoying it then why not.
desireemay
